Hannah Weytjens
Hannah is the youngest of our team. The third year undergraduate student sociology is also active in the book shop, organizing student activities, and countering polarization on her free time.
Elina Kuokkanen
Elina graduated recently from the Master program of European Studies at KU Leuven. She focused on interreligious dialogue in her Thesis. Using that experience, she is putting her newly gained knowledge into practical use by helping to build dialogue through the Bonding Beyond Borders game.
Gerald Walravens
Gerald is a student Business Economics, specializing in Marketing and Big Data. For the moment, he is watching over our project from Madrid and makes sure the finances are done correctly. He also manages our Facebook and Instagram content. Besides Bonding Beyond Borders, Gerald has a strong passion for dance, and he is experienced teaching Jazz and Contemporary.
Jolien Peeters
Jolien is a third Bachelor student Communications Sciences. One of her core interests is to see the impact social media has on shaping our society. This is what drove her to join Bonding Beyond Borders - she wants to fight extremism and hate via an online campaign and show that it is possible to shape society for good through media. Currently she is studying for a semester in Ireland.
Pamela Caci
Pamela has a background in communication design, and as a creative mind it was Pamela who came up with our name and logo. After graduating from the Master program of European Studies at KU Leuven, she started working at the Centre of Global Governance. Soon she will head towards NATO to gain more hands-on experience on one of her greatest passions, safety and security in the international order.
Amelie Godefroidt
Amelie works at CRPD as a Ph.D. Fellow of the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). She holds a BA and MSc in Communication Sciences and a MSc in Comparative and International Politics, both obtained at KU Leuven. Her research interests include religious and ethnic mobilization, in- versus out-group attitudes, and inter-group contact. Amelie’s PhD project specifically focuses on the social-psychological impact of the Boko Haram crisis in Nigeria. In July 2018, Amelie lead the Bonding Beyond Borders team to the victory of the Facebook Global Digital Challenge.
